BTL Emsella™ is the right fit for any woman or man, of any age, who desires treatment for urinary incontinence and quality of life improvement. Before your first treatment you will have a consultation to determine the best course of treatment for your situation. If you have a pacemaker or other implanted metal device in your body, you are not a candidate for Emsella.
You remain fully clothed at every appointment and comfortably sit on the Emsella™ device (much like a chair) for 28 minutes. Electromagnetic currents trigger muscular contractions similar to Kegel exercises, only at greater intensity and without conscious effort. You will feel tingling and pelvic floor muscle contractions (approximately 11,000 Kegel contractions). You can expect to fully resume daily activities after treatment.
Treatments are scheduled once or twice a week and separated by at least 2 days to maximize treatment efficacy. A full series is typically 6 sessions. Depending on the severity of your incontinence, more sessions may be needed. Emsella™ helps you regain control of your pelvic floor muscles, and because the treatment involves muscles we recommend you maintain the results with a little boost every 3-6 months.
